In the studio

I spent some time in the studio at Camberwell drawing on book pages and also worked on some textile related book work on the bus journey to college.

Judith Scott

The Museum of Everything had an exhibition of work by outsider artists at Selfridges Department store. There was also this solo show by Judith Scott, an artist I knew of but whose work I had never seen, in the old hotel in Selfridges which a beautiful derelict space awaiting refurbishment.

Book Structures

One of the first practical workshops was book-binding. I also tried out some paper folding structures.

Interview

I applied to join the MA Fine Art (Book Arts) at UAL Camberwell, having visited several MA shows in the last few years, this was the one that interested me the most.  The other one that I would have considered was MA Fine Art (Drawing) at Wimbledon. I applied late as I had been told by a friend that there were still places available and had my interview the day before the course was due to start. I got in! The course was for 2 years part-time.
